What's New? [2]
We're Back!
Really great to see so many new faces this term, especially since there are a fair sprinkling of feisty fast folks in lanes 1, 2 and 3 now (in fact, I think lane 1 is now the 'put out to pasture' lane, with lanes 2 and 3 especially quick these days!).
Ivan, Carl, Georgia and Paula had a great time doing The Wildlife Trust 10k last weekend, with loads of locals, triathletes, hobblers, work colleagues - you name it! 1300 runners took part. More on the results of that later!
Kudos to the Histon Hobblers, who, all dressed as Wonder Woman completed The Great North Run recently, and even made it onto the BBC website! (Ivan's wife Rachel was one of the wonder women!)
Recent Results, Photos and Stuff
After the disappointment with the Cottenham Triathlon being cancelled we were very pleased to get into Roade Triathlon in Northants instead. However, we were quite disappointed that the 4 of us who had been training for triathlon didnt get in because it was over subscribed - sorry Georgia, I don't think this means you have escaped the torture though! Well, Ivan, Paula and Carl had a great time at Roade and are all keen for more of the same. Ivan has written up an entertaining race report with photos from Paula's Paul. Many thanks to our friends at Cambridge Triathlon Club for the support, encouragement and ethusiasm, especially Eddie, Chris, Helen and Tim.
Paula, Paul, Georgia, and Carl did Chariots of Fire relay around Cambridge on 17th September, running for Celltech B team. Great fun!
