Gillian - prefers to lead lane 2. Extremely fast on kick drills. Very fast freestyle especially over long distance.

Ivan - hangs out in lane 3, working hard on freestyle. Leads the club's unofficial social activities (mainly involving beer, especially after training). Runs well when not injured. Also fallen in with that triathlon crowd.

Louise - fast and committed top lane swimmer and welcome addition to the Impington club committee. Another one with hobbies outside the pool, with similar comittment demonstrated in there too (see photo)

Panda (Young Paula) - has LOTS of energy and hangs out in lane 3. Sprints very well and is another of the multisporters! Has once been seen to do 500m of Butterfly in one session, providing enthusiasm for others to do likewise too.

Paula (Old Paula) - switches between lane 1 and 2 at will. Getting more competitive with every passing year. Drummed up ALL of the available enthusiasm for Triathlon.

Peter - prefers to hang on in there in lane 1. It is believed that Peter partly swims to stay fit for other pastimes, though enjoys many sports that end in eating curry (preferred over award presentations). Pete is a great competitor, particularly enjoying the painful 1500M freestyle event.

Fiona - hangs out in lane 2, having rapidly progressed from lane 4 by reducing her stroke count from 30 to 15!
