Local Derby - Impington Masters versus Bottisham Swimming Club ("the kids") - Summer 2003[2]

Here are the results of the recent local derby between Bottisham ("the kids") and Impington Masters ("old farts"). As you can see, the old farts cleaned-up this year. Bottisham, not expecting fierce competion didn't field a full squad, thinking they could lick the old farts with a mere scattering of their best talent. Well, how the Impington squad has grown in both number and talent this year, with the arrival of New Paula, Lesley, Charles (Dark Hair), Rocket (aka Alex) and Ivan, as well as all the old guard. Both the men's and the women's squads beat Bottisham this year - I think "the kids" will have to try a bit harder next year!
Bottisham did manage to find the odd trick up their sleeve, motivating Brian out of retirement and back into the water for them. Many of us had never seen Brian in the water, and it gave us pause for thought when we saw what he could do straight out of retirement. Well, Bottisham will not pull such stunts again - Brian firmly belongs to Impington now and we'll get him properly trained for the next local Derby.
The following numbers dont add up well - the results columns are from the officials and so are ok but the timings were taken independently so they may be a little scratchy. If anyone can fill in any of the blanks below let me know.
